Our farm

A farm named after a mother.

Sayakulu was the name of our founder's late mother. The farm is built in her memory at Saantugu, off the Gbalahi Road, and run by a local team in Tamale.

From the farm

Coming next

Our plan for the Saantugu farm.

Three long layer houses, brooding and holding houses, a feed processing station, a warehouse and office, a customer rest area at the gate and green space for farm visits. First up is a cage house for about 5,000 hens, built for Tamale's heat with open sides and a raised roof vent. The strip beside the main site, now our workers' quarters, will later add more poultry and small ruminants.

More hens means a steadier supply for the shops, kitchens and homes that count on us.

Questions

Good to know.

How fresh are the eggs?

We collect every morning. Each crate shows the day it was laid, and most of our eggs are sold within two days of laying.

How should I store them?

Keep them in a cool, dry place out of the sun, pointed end down. A fridge keeps them fresh for weeks. Wash an egg only just before you use it.

What do the sizes mean?

We grade by weight. Small is under 53 g, medium 53 to 63 g, large 63 to 73 g and extra large above 73 g. Every crate holds 30 eggs of one size.

Where do you deliver?

Within Tamale on our fixed route days. For areas outside Tamale, send us a message and we will tell you what is possible.

How do I pay?

Mobile Money or cash. Home deliveries are paid by Mobile Money before the Saturday route. Businesses on a regular order can agree terms with us.

Can I resell your eggs?

Yes. Resellers buy at our wholesale farm-gate price, with delivery on Tuesday or Friday for a fee. Ask us about a fixed weekly price for larger volumes.

What does delivery cost?

A delivery fee is added to the egg price when we deliver. It depends on your area and how many crates you order. We tell you the amount on WhatsApp before we set off.

Why is the retail price different?

The prices on this page are wholesale, for businesses and resellers buying at the farm gate. Home buyers pay a retail price, which we confirm on WhatsApp.

Can I change or pause a regular order?

Yes, with one WhatsApp message before your delivery day.
